How to write a good report:
i) First collect facts of incidents and arrange them in their proper order;
ii) Give your report an appropriate heading. The heading should be very short and will tell about the incident;
iii) Mention the place and date of reporting on the left hand side under the heading;
iv) Concentrate only on the materials which are most essential.
v) The report should be written in clear and simple sentence. Long and complex sentences should be avoid;
vi) Reporting is done normally in the past tense and the passive voice is used;
vii) In reporting, indirect speech is always used.
