Autumn In West Bengal
Autumn is one of the finest seasons in West Bengal. It comes after the rainy season and precedes the pleasant winter here. Autumn in Bengal has has two parts - the first part is called early autumn and the late autumn follows it. Autumn generally includes the month of September, October and November. Now the weather normally remains charming. There is hardly any threat of heavy rain. The temperature is either too hot nor too cold. Nature wears a very fresh look. There is greenery all around. The patches of white cloudlets floating across the clear sky, the moonlit nights on the rural background, the green and golden fields are really wonderful to watch. The late autumn brings happiness to the peasants in the countryside as it is the harvesting time for them. The autumn is famous for its festivals. A series of festivals are held now. The biggest of these are undoubtedly Durga Puja. The Bengalees are now found in festive mood. In fact, they wait all the year round for this beautiful season to come.
